French Baha'i Summer School, Angers
The French Baha'i Summer School was held again near Angers, France, at Les
Jardins de l'Anjou near La Pommeraye (see last
year). Over 400 people of all ages gathered for classes on the Tablets
of the Divine Plan of 'Abdu'l-Baha, or for an intensive study of one of the
Ruhi Institute books. In the evenings there were presentations on the
conference theme and artistic performances by different groups of
participants, including the junior youth and children. I was in a class of
over 40 studying the newly-released Book 10.1 on accompaniment, which
contains a lot of practical guidance on the implementation and
administration of the Institute Process and the core activities in local
Baha'i communities.

The class studying Book 10.1 on accompaniment was very large and
international, as this was the first time it was offered in French. We would
occasionally take some time to set one of the passages to music, and to sing
and even dance.

We sang to lighten our work; part of the time was spent in small
group study

Evening activities brought together all ages for lively and stimulating
times together. I was asked to make a short presentation one evening
introducing the Tablets of the Divine Plan, their background and impact.
