On 6-10 September 2023, ebbf - Ethical Business Building the Future organised a retreat at the Bahá'í conference centre in Acuto, Italy, on the theme "Step into The Crossroads". A diversity of participants of all ages and parts of the world were invited to hold meaningful conversations about the world and their own lives at multiple crossroads. These included Shiva Dustdar, director of the European Investment Bank Institute; from New Zealand Marc Rivers former CEO of Roche and Fonterra; from China Adam Roberts architect whom I knew many years ago in Kenya; Vahid Khamsi COO Industry Solutions at SAP; from the USA Emily Chew Executive VP at Calvert; Dr. Salim Afshar from Harvard Medical School; and Clark and Sutherland Donnelly from Canada.

Much of the time was spent in small group discussions drawing on the diversity of those present. It was a very enriching experience. We also walked down to the village of Acuto below the conference centre.
