On 16-19 June 2023 I traveled to Madrid for an expert meeting to consider revisions to the UN Charter. Sunday afternoon 18 June we were take to the historic city of Toledo not far from Madrid, a World Heritage site. I had not visited Toledo since December 1961, when with a few other students from Stanford in France, we drove around Spain over the Christmas break.
