On Friday 15 March 2019, 16 year-old Greta Thunburg of Sweden called for a global strike by children and youth to march in the streets to demand action now on climate change to protect the interests of her and future generations. Millions turned out all over the world. There were 40,000 in Paris, 10,000 in Lausanne and over 5,000 in Geneva. In Geneva the youth invited everyone to join them in support, so I marched with a sign "veillards pour les jeunes" (old people for the youth). The march started near the train station, crossed the Pont du Mont-Blanc between the two halves of the city, went along a main shopping street and through the banking sector (where the youth shouted protests at the banks for their fossil fuel investments), and on to the main square with the opera house and university. The following is a photo album along the march.

This album is dedicated to all those who call for climate action as the only just response to the environmental challenges faced by the world today. While I still travel by air where there is no alternative, I try to offset the environmental damage done through the services I can render to bring about fundamental change in the world as the only hope to transform our society at scale in time.
