On 22 October 2021, various associations in Geneva organized another climate march to demonstrate public concern for climate change before the UN Climate Change Conference COP26 in Glasgow starting on 31 October. It recalled the big climate marches of 2019. The march started in the square near the train station, walked through one neighbourhood down to the lake shore in front of the Palais Wilson, and then up to the Place des Nations along side the Palais des Nations, headquarters of the United Nations in Geneva. There were banners, a giant globe and puppets, bands and many signs, with some talks at a mid-way stop and at the Place des Nations, where a banner was hung from the giant three-legged chair symbolizing the handicapped.
