During the Coronavirus pandemic in March-May 2020, confinement to one's residence was the rule, except for shopping for basic foodstuffs. People of my age are considered at risk, with a one in seven chance of dying of the virus if over 70, and four in five chance if over 80. We were told to find someone else to shop for us. My 29 square meter apartment is not the ideal place to be confined, even if comfortable, so I found a way to walk through back driveways to the Parc des Franchises nearby, where there is green space and trees and I can avoid being close to anyone. The park has been renovated with sports facilities, so the rose gardens of old are gone, and the wild wetlands have been "restored". Still, I get a half hour of exercise with over 2000 steps in nature on each walk. This is what I experience.
