My short visit to Bristol 5-8 January included an evening presentation at the Bristol Bahá'í Centre on the role of the Bahá'ís in environmental action, and a two day meeting at the University of Bristol to plan a major research project on transforming educational systems for sustainable development in India, Rwanda, Somalia and South Africa, for which I am on the Advisory Group (see separate page).

On this short trip on a beautiful January day around Lake Geneva, I spoke to a meeting commemorating World Religion Day (see separate page).

The research meeting with indigenous peoples to make visible how they value nature and biodiversity was held at Wageningen University (see separate page). I also contributed to some Bahá'í activities and helped at a gardening day at the national Bahá'í temple site, where there were willows to be pollarded (see separate page).

This weekend trip to Madrid for the Advisory Group meeting of the Global Governance Forum featured an excursion to Segovia to see its Roman aqueduct and to enjoy a traditional lunch in a famous restaurant (see separate page).

I did not know then that this might be my last international trip of the year, as the Covid-19 pandemic led to the cancellation of all my planned travel, with events moving on line. See my activities page.
